Choosing me to support your postpartum means you will have someone solely there to take care of your needs post pregnancy. I come with my own experience, helping other clients pregnancy, as well as everything I am learning, as part of the Red Tent. I know how important and vulnerable the postpartum period is. Having had my own struggles with feeding, post birth figure, and managing other people’s expectations for me and my baby. It is my role to guide you back to your own wisdom and encourage you that you truly have got this.

Ayurveda may be unfamiliar to you—or perhaps you associate it with something your grandmother received, a traditional massage in her later years (as I did in my own family). Though the full study of Ayurveda spans years, even lifetimes, its essence is simple: the mind and body are not separate, but one. For you as a new mother, this means I see all of you—your tired body, your shifting emotions, your need for deep rest. I bring nurturing methods passed down through generations and healing recipes to support your whole recovery after birth. Although this holistic method has benefits for everyone, my doula training at the Red Tent has taught me that the best medicine for you will be whatever your ancestors would have eaten in their postpartum. Therefore my package would be bespoke to meet your needs.

This makes me smile—I'm so glad you have people around you. Here's what I can add to that beautiful foundation: I bring traditional healing methods—nurturing touch, restorative foods and drinks—that work alongside the love your family already provides. I'll teach them how to prepare these foods and offer you massage, so when our weeks together come to a close, they'll have new tools to continue supporting you in deeper ways. I know from my own experience how after the first baby, other family members are there usually to help with the elder child or children. So the time you have to rest is something you have to intentionally carve and be strict about. I am there solely for you. So instead of worrying about if anyone else will have the capacity to care for you as well, I will be there for you.

I will be there in person for 5 days the first week postpartum, 4 days the week after, 3 days on week 3, and gradually reduce my in person visits until your baby is 6 weeks old. I am available on the phone or virtually for the whole 40 days. I also start working with you before you give birth by showing your partner the Haputana method (around 30ish weeks). My aim is to see you atleast 1-2 times once I am hired to assist with birth prep, and make a plan for the postpartum.
